When Bentonville Moves, Everyone Wins!

Have you noticed the new bright yellow signs? The Coalition has launched a new citywide awareness campaign to get the news out to more of Bentonville. And we want you to be a part, too.

Starting at our launch party on March 6 at the amazing Best Friends Animal Society, we introduced a new look and refreshed vigor to get more people on board with supporting the exciting work being accomplished towards the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.

The Connecting Bentonville Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, which the city adopted in 2021, expresses Bentonville’s intention to provide greater access to alternative transportation modes by establishing guiding principles, facility types, proposed trail network and design standards. Two major principles of the plan are connectivity and accessibility.

As part of that plan, more than 30 miles of new infrastructure have been identified as priority over the next few years. Check out all the projects on the progress map here. With these improvements, Bentonville will see better connections between bikeways, roadways and sidewalks; safer routes for cars, bicycles and people on foot or with mobility issues; and less congestion and stress with navigating the best routes for everyone.

In short, everyone wins! Once everyone in Bentonville moves more safely and with less stress then our city can truly rise up to our rapid growth like the world-class city we strive to be.

As part of new efforts, we launched this new website, complete with a lot more information to help you stay in the know about the projects and priorities of the Coalition and our partners at the City of Bentonville, Bentonville Parks and Recreation and Trailblazers. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter here to be the first to know all the good things happening!

We also have posters, yard signs, floor decals and more for your school, business or favorite restaurant or coffee shop, just reach out to Jessica@bentonvillemoves.org to get yours. You may also see or hear our ads on TikTok, Facebook, Spotify and more. Our goal is to make sure everyone in Bentonville knows what’s happening to make our city an even better place to live, and to give everyone an opportunity to have a voice.
